Manager, People & Culture

This role encompasses all aspects of the People & Culture function within a specialist group focused on private wealth and private capital services. The post holder will lead a small team, ensuring an efficient and professional administration of the employee lifecycle. Responsibilities include contributing to the Group People Strategy, delivering People & Culture projects, and implementing initiatives within set timelines. The role requires engaging with managing directors on local and group initiatives while supporting best practices in talent management and performance management. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements, manage employment correspondence, and continually evaluate employee lifecycle processes to improve function and efficiency. This is a full-time role, with expectations to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally, ultimately fostering a positive employee experience aligned with company values.

Job Duties:

  • Engage with and support managing directors with local and group initiatives and functional processes.
  • Provide best practice advice to managing directors and directors.
  • Build relevant ‘People Plans’ to help businesses meet engagement targets and develop talent.
  • Ensure delivery of the People Review process is executed annually across all jurisdictions and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage the annual performance and pay review process.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain people-related systems, ensuring integrity of data.
  • Develop and maintain efficient processes and procedures consistently.
  • Drive engagement and service excellence across all jurisdictions.
  • Evaluate recruitment, onboarding, probation, annual performance reviews, learning and development, and offboarding processes.
  • Oversee employment correspondence for new joiners, pay reviews, and promotions.
  • Support the implementation of the People Strategy and other related projects.
  • Stay updated on statutory legislation in local jurisdictions and liaise with legal advisors for employment law advice.
  • Provide guidance to People Managers on employee relations and staff benefits.
  • Conduct grievance, disciplinary, and performance management meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships to enhance the People & Culture function.
  • Complete any other duties as required in accordance with the role's demands.

Job Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Human Resource Management from a recognised institution or a minimum of five years HR-related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of local employment laws and regulations.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion in representing company policies and employee needs.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and adherence to it at all times.
  • Problem-solving skills and active listening abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask with flexibility.
  • Established organisation and planning skills.
  • Drive to build strong working relationships with clients, both internally and externally.
