The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the physical workplace estate across multiple jurisdictions. This full-time role involves ensuring that every office provides a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and clients, while managing costs effectively and planning for future growth. Beyond overseeing day-to-day operations, this role encompasses a significant project dimension, leading office searches, fit-outs, relocations, and consolidations. Close collaboration with local leadership and central functions is essential to align the office strategy with the commercial ambitions of the organisation. Reporting to the Group COO, the Senior Facilities Manager must balance operational rigour with commercial acumen, maintaining consistent standards across diverse portfolios while respecting local requirements and regulations. Regular travel across jurisdictions is required, necessitating adaptability and a hands-on approach to address evolving responsibilities.
Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain a Group-wide office and workplace strategy aligned with headcount forecasts and growth plans.
- Monitor occupancy levels, lease expiry profiles, and space utilisation across all offices, and provide proactive recommendations.
- Lead end-to-end office projects, including searches, lease negotiations, fit-outs, and relocations.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
- Oversee the operational management of all offices, ensuring consistent high standards are maintained.
- Establish and maintain facilities policies covering areas such as maintenance, cleaning, security, and health and safety.
- Track and report on facilities spending across all jurisdictions, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement.
- Champion employee and client experience by maintaining high standards in front-of-house spaces and gathering feedback on workplace amenities.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in facilities management or corporate real estate, ideally within a multi-site, multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Proven ability to lead office relocation and fit-out projects from inception to completion.
- Strong commercial acumen, including budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities across geographies.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements; relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) are desirable.
- Ability to engage credibly with senior leadership and external partners, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally and to adapt to flexible working hours.
- Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail in service delivery.
