Project Manager

An experienced Project Manager with expertise in Agile and Scrum delivery is sought to join the Group Change Department and lead transformative projects that deliver substantial value across the organisation. This full-time position involves leading cross-functional projects within the Group change portfolio while collaborating with colleagues, stakeholders, and third-party partners. The role encompasses the initiation, planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring that they meet business objectives within time and budget constraints. The successful candidate will manage a diverse range of change initiatives such as digital and technology projects, regulatory programmes, and operational enhancements. Furthermore, they will apply robust project governance methods alongside Agile practices to ensure the effective delivery of outcomes. Clear and consistent communication will be paramount to maintain project alignment and momentum, while supporting teams to embrace new processes and ways of working.

Job Duties:

  • Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring business value is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of change, including digital and technology initiatives, regulatory programmes, and operational improvements.
  • Apply strong project governance alongside Agile delivery disciplines, including planning, sprint oversight, and budget control.
  • Partner with stakeholders to shape requirements and prioritise delivery to meet customer, business, and regulatory needs.
  • Support iterative delivery through effective scope management, testing coordination, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate clear communication across project teams and stakeholders to maintain alignment and momentum.
  • Help teams adapt to change by embedding new ways of working and supporting successful adoption.

Job Requirements:

  • At least three years’ project management experience, ideally within Financial Services (not essential).
  • Hands-on experience in Agile and Scrum environments, delivering digital or business change initiatives.
  • Strong project delivery skills, including planning, governance, and issue management.
  • Confidence in leading complex projects or multiple workstreams concurrently.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with delivery teams, senior stakeholders, and third parties.
  • Clear facilitation, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to guide teams through ambiguity and support continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles; PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification is desirable.
  • Flexibility to travel as required by projects, including potential overseas travel.
