Head of Workplace Experience & Facilities

This full-time role, based in the Guernsey office, seeks to fill the position of Head of Workplace Experience and Facilities, which has become available due to the pending retirement of the current postholder. The successful candidate will oversee a team dedicated to creating and maintaining an exceptional workplace environment across various locations, including Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man. This role will operate over five days and requires the relevant right to work status, as there will be no application for a license or permit for this position. The office environment is friendly and modern, and as a people-centric organisation, collaboration face-to-face is highly valued. The Head of Workplace Experience and Facilities will be instrumental in ensuring that the workplace experience, facilities management, team leadership, supplier oversight, health and safety compliance, and business continuity are all effectively managed to support colleagues, clients, and visitors alike, delivering a high-quality experience in line with the business's needs.

Job Duties:

  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive workplace environment across all locations.
  • Lead and manage workplace experience and facilities operations, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Oversee project management for office refurbishments and workplace improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices across all jurisdictions.
  • Develop and implement business continuity plans and risk management strategies.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations effectively.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement in workplace strategies and team performance.
  • Foster a strong, engaged, and high-performing team culture.

Job Requirements:

  • Extensive leadership experience in workplace experience and facilities management, preferably in a professional or financial services environment.
  • Proven track record of managing facilities operations across multiple sites with a focus on service delivery and stakeholder management.
  • Strong team leadership and supplier management capabilities.
  • Practical knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to create an engaging workplace and drive continuous improvements for colleagues and visitors.
  • Evidence of substantial hands-on experience and successful management of facility operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
