Senior Administrator, New Business

Our client is seeking a Senior Administrator to support the New Business Team in delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. This senior role involves assisting the Manager and Team Leader to ensure service standards are met and improved in accordance with operational objectives. The position is full-time and based in a dynamic environment where your contributions will enhance team performance and client satisfaction. In this role, you will actively participate in team operations, demonstrating excellent communication and organisational skills. You will mentor colleagues, manage queries and escalations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining high accuracy in all tasks.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist the Manager and Team Leader in the effective operation of the New Business Team.
  • Ensure all requests are processed within specified servicing times while maintaining high service standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Handle queries and escalations via telephone or written communication competently.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of team processes, including applications and Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
  • Take ownership of personal and team tasks, ensuring completion within tight deadlines and adjusting priorities as required.
  • Support the team in daily tasks, providing assistance where necessary.
  • Deliver in-depth, ad-hoc on-the-job training regarding New Business processes to colleagues, mentoring as required.
  • Adhere to all regulatory legislation and compliance requirements diligently.
  • Provide feedback to the Team Leader on team performance and accuracy, supporting with evidence for regular performance reviews.
  • Mentor colleagues to help identify and achieve personal development goals effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Technician on any risk-related tasks and assist in delivering training or process changes.
  • Respond promptly to feedback from quality assurance checks, using this as an opportunity for personal and team improvement.
  • Identify and report problem areas, offering solutions and suggestions for improvements where possible.
  • Log any complaints received, striving to resolve them as First Point Resolutions (FPRs) whenever feasible, while ensuring compliance with procedure.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess strong and relevant experience within the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrate reasonable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Have the ability to draft basic correspondence, including letters and faxes.
  • Experience in a customer-facing administrative role is essential.
  • Exhibit excellent planning and organisational skills to effectively manage tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently with initiative.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy while adhering to agreed service standards.
  • Display resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Show a clear understanding of customer service principles with a commitment to outstanding client service.
  • Maintain a professional telephone manner and proactive approach to customer interactions.
