Our client is seeking a confident and experienced Accounts Manager to join their accounts team. This position will be based on the Isle of Man and is a full-time, permanent role. As the Accounts Manager, you will oversee the management and development of the accounts team, ensuring the timely and cost-effective preparation of financial statements for a diverse portfolio of trust and company clients. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards in financial reporting while fostering a supportive environment for team members. You will play a critical role in enhancing the capabilities of your team and contributing to a rewarding workplace experience.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage and develop the accounts team to ensure high-quality financial statements are prepared.
- Ensure that financial statements are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner for trust and company clients.
- Foster a supportive and efficient working environment within the accounts team.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in team performance and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering professional development and growth.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- You should be ACCA or ACA qualified with significant experience in a managerial role within an accounts team.
- Demonstrable experience in preparing financial statements for trust and company clients.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting processes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Desirable: Previous experience in the financial services sector would be advantageous.
