Our client is seeking an Operations Control Manager to join their team in the Isle of Man. This crucial role focuses on establishing, implementing, and monitoring a robust Operations Control capability and framework to enhance operational environments across the end-to-end Operations Controls landscape. You will lead a Controls Team to effectively embed and maintain this framework, aiming to contain losses and minimise non-financial risks. Additionally, you will work closely with leadership to drive initiatives that support business growth and operational efficiency. This position is full-time, and applicants must already be eligible to work in the Isle of Man.
JOB DUTIES:
- Establish and implement end-to-end Control frameworks and tools to ensure a complete and accurate reporting environment.
- Account for the optimal functioning of control processes supporting the control framework.
- Proactively monitor, track, and remediate risks by implementing and overseeing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) across the Operations area.
- Influence and encourage Operations and business stakeholders to adopt recommended controls to maintain a sound control environment.
- Highlight the inter-connectedness of products, systems, and processes and manage the upstream and downstream impacts of control failures.
- Gather and analyse relevant data, perform trend analysis, and develop monthly dashboards to track potential risks and trends.
- Share insights and reporting mechanisms within the Operations Control Team and with relevant stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- You will need a First Degree in Audit or Risk Management.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in Operations Control and familiarity with Product Business Risk Control is essential.
- You should possess advanced knowledge of banking products and have 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform trend analysis and data interpretation are crucial.
- Excellent decision-making and conflict resolution skills, coupled with a willingness to embrace change.
- You should have a strong understanding of risk management effectiveness.
- Knowledge in Business Banking and Consumer Banking products is required.
