Supervision Officer, Portfolio Supervision Division

Our client is looking for a full-time Supervision Officer to join their team within the Portfolio Supervision Division. This role is essential in contributing to the effective supervision of regulated entities, ensuring the implementation of robust controls, processes, and supervisory activities in line with the Authority's risk-based Supervisory Methodology Framework. Based in the Isle of Man, you will assist in completing all supervisory and operational deliverables while working collaboratively with various divisions of the Authority. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will play a key role in supporting the efficiency of regulatory practices and enhancing the overall supervisory framework.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist with the effective and efficient supervision of regulated entities within the Portfolio Supervision Division.
  • Support the completion of all supervisory and operational deliverables.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Portfolio Supervision Division.
  • Ensure all supervisory matters, such as notifications, breaches, and meetings, are logged accurately and escalated as necessary.
  • Oversee the Division's licenceholder interaction processes, including management of shared inboxes and telephone inquiries.
  • Review regulatory returns from regulated entities, identifying anomalies or breaches, and ensure appropriate supervisory responses are taken.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for supervisory inspections, thematic reviews, and business meetings.
  • Participate in supervisory inspections of regulated entities in alignment with the Supervisory Methodology Framework.
  • Take detailed notes during meetings and assist with follow-up activities.
  • Draft papers, meeting notes, and other supervisory documentation as guided by senior staff.
  • Maintain accuracy of supervisory records within reporting systems and databases.
  • Respond to enquiries from the public and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate communications and information requests with other Divisions and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of supervisory processes and records.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning efforts.
  • Carry out additional duties as reasonably required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Educated to GCSE level or above, or equivalent qualification (Desirable).
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training or qualifications as needed (Desirable).
  • An interest in financial services, along with working knowledge of related legislation and regulations (Essential).
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (Essential).
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy (Essential).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team (Essential).
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly assimilate and summarise information (Essential).
  • Capability to assist in preparing and documenting meetings with senior stakeholders (Essential).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Essential).
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times (Essential).
  • Ability to provide administrative support as needed (Essential).
