Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager for Marketing & Business Development to enhance client and intermediary relationships while identifying growth opportunities. This full-time position is based in Guernsey. The role involves collaborating closely with senior management and marketing teams to support the growth and retention of key clients and intermediaries. The successful candidate will focus on identifying improvements through client feedback and engagement strategies, ensuring that insights are effectively communicated across the organisation. The primary focus of this position is to coordinate various marketing programmes and client engagement initiatives. You will work directly with regional directors and commercial colleagues to gather critical insights and initiate engagement activities, ensuring follow-ups reach the appropriate stakeholders.
JOB DUTIES:
- Coordinate marketing programmes to strengthen client and intermediary relationships and act on feedback.
- Support the Group Head in delivering client and intermediary growth and retention programmes, initially focusing on client feedback and the Key Client Programme.
- Collaborate with regional directors, relationship partners, client service directors, and other commercial colleagues to gather insights, coordinate engagement activities, and ensure follow-up communications are delivered to relationship owners.
- Conduct client and intermediary surveys and manage other listening activities, including overseeing contact lists, invitations, responses, reporting, and follow-ups.
- Aggregate feedback, relationship insights, and engagement data to identify themes, opportunities, and potential concerns; maintain an action tracker ensuring findings are shared with relevant relationship owners.
- Assist in planning and delivering the Key Client Programme, including managing engagement plans, communication strategies, events, and progress updates.
- Coordinate activities for priority intermediaries, including Radius initiatives and specific activation campaigns, while identifying dormant relationships and opportunities for relevant introductions or additional support.
- Brief and coordinate targeted client and intermediary communications, collaborating with colleagues on content development and campaign approvals.
- Identify potential client stories, testimonials, and case studies, securing necessary internal and client approvals for use.
- Support account-based marketing activities through research on priority organisations and coordinating relevant engagement.
- Manage client and intermediary events within the programme, contributing to event strategy, content, and promotion while working with relationship owners on guest lists, invitations, and follow-up actions to align events with relationship objectives.
- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing Operations and Growth Enablement to improve the accuracy of client and intermediary records.
- Track programme activities, participation insights, feedback, and follow-up opportunities or risks, contributing updates to monthly reports.
- Foster effective relationships with commercial and client-facing colleagues across service lines, maintaining clear programme plans, briefs, and deadlines.
- Respect confidentiality, data protection requirements, and relevant content approval processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant experience in marketing, business development, client engagement, or relationship programmes is essential.
- Experience in professional services or another relationship-led sector is desirable.
- Demonstrated project coordination experience involving multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, contact data management, surveys, or email marketing tools is preferable; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- A relevant qualification in marketing, communications, or business is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exhibit strong organisational skills with the capability to manage several programmes concurrently and keep track of actions and deadlines.
- Possess clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate sound judgement and discretion when handling client feedback and sensitive relationship information.
- Hold an analytical mindset to identify useful themes from feedback and data.
- Show confidence when working with senior colleagues and following up on agreed actions, maintaining strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Willingness to develop expertise in HubSpot and other marketing tools is encouraged.
