Our client is seeking a Business Advisory Director to join their leadership team in the Channel Islands. This senior role will focus on leading the development of the Business Advisory team, ensuring the effective delivery of services to clients, and driving business growth. The Director will work closely with the team of Directors to execute the annual business plan, maintain key client relationships, and oversee financial reporting for both financial services and non-financial entities.
Job Duties:
- Review financial statements for both financial services and non-financial services entities, with a heavy focus on FRS102 accounting standards.
- Provide financial reporting support to the management team where required.
- Execute responsibilities in accordance with lawful and ethical standards.
- Assist in the development of the annual business plan for the Channel Islands' advisory practice, including revenue and contribution goals aligned with the firm's overall growth strategy.
- Develop and maintain a strategic, sustainable, and profitable client base.
- Maintain positive relationships with key clients and introducers, addressing client disputes and agreements to ensure consistent, high-quality service and retention.
- Lead cross-border advisory assignments, collaborating with international teams and clients.
- Ensure the advisory team is appropriately resourced, motivated, and developed in line with the firm’s People & Culture policies.
- Support business development efforts by adhering to business development policies and leveraging internal networks to optimise cross-service line opportunities.
- Comply with the firm’s ethical and risk management standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and global events to bring a broader perspective to client service and advisory.
- Act as an ambassador for the firm, building external professional networks and promoting the firm to facilitate new business opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to think strategically and guide the team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients and team members.
- Proven ability to develop business and build relationships with key clients and introducers.
- High focus on quality service and client retention.
- Excellent technical knowledge of accounting principles, particularly FRS102.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, with a relevant accounting qualification and practising certificate.
