Our client is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in compliance within the financial sector, with a focus on regulatory requirements in the Guernsey, UK, or EU markets. You will play a key role in ensuring that the company adheres to relevant rules and regulations while identifying and managing potential risks. Job Duties:
- Oversee all activities as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO), Compliance Officer (CO), and Nominated Officer (NO)
- Provide broad compliance coverage, focusing on cross-border distribution of structured products and other financial product-related aspects
- Assist with compliance reviews and reporting obligations
- Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits
- Support core compliance tasks and Group Compliance on audit-related topics
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to identify, manage, and monitor risks
- Advise senior management on identified risks and recommend appropriate actions
- Ensure the company complies with local and international legal and regulatory standards
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in Compliance within the Guernsey, UK, or EU financial sectors, including 3 years in a role with Compliance/MLRO responsibilities
- Degree in law, economics, or a related field
- Proficient knowledge of local legal, regulatory requirements, and European regulations
- Strong interest in capital markets and regulatory developments
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Fluency in English
