Our client is seeking a Mortgage & Life Advisor to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This sales-focused role involves advising clients on their financial status, recommending suitable mortgage and life insurance products, and preparing applications for approval. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with a strong client service ethic and proven experience in the mortgage and insurance industry.
Job Duties:
- Advise clients on mortgage and life insurance products, evaluating financial circumstances and recommending appropriate solutions
- Prepare and submit mortgage and insurance applications in accordance with policies and procedures
- Liaise directly with clients, stakeholders, and counterparts in other jurisdictions to ensure consistent service delivery
- Respond to queries from current and prospective clients within qualification scope
- Provide timely and accurate quotations and issue all documentation efficiently
- Manage and update client portfolios and activity records on a daily basis
- Perform general administrative tasks and maintain accurate database records
- Undertake regular solicitation and maintain strong client relationships
- Attend meetings with applicants to gather information and answer questions
- Ensure the best interests of clients are maintained at all times
- Participate in training programmes and undertake personal development
- Ensure compliance with all legislation, policies, procedures, and corporate governance standards
- Support the wider team with a positive attitude and contribute to the effective functioning of the business
- Carry out additional duties as requested to support operational needs
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Mortgage Advisor, Life Advisor, or in a similar role
- Certificate in Finance Services (Cert CII), CeMap, or equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, and internal procedures
- Demonstrated commitment to self-development and ongoing training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with various database systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- Capable of working independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work
