Mortgage & Life Advisor

Our client is seeking a Mortgage & Life Advisor to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This sales-focused role involves advising clients on their financial status, recommending suitable mortgage and life insurance products, and preparing applications for approval. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional with a strong client service ethic and proven experience in the mortgage and insurance industry.

Job Duties:

  • Advise clients on mortgage and life insurance products, evaluating financial circumstances and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Prepare and submit mortgage and insurance applications in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Liaise directly with clients, stakeholders, and counterparts in other jurisdictions to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Respond to queries from current and prospective clients within qualification scope
  • Provide timely and accurate quotations and issue all documentation efficiently
  • Manage and update client portfolios and activity records on a daily basis
  • Perform general administrative tasks and maintain accurate database records
  • Undertake regular solicitation and maintain strong client relationships
  • Attend meetings with applicants to gather information and answer questions
  • Ensure the best interests of clients are maintained at all times
  • Participate in training programmes and undertake personal development
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, policies, procedures, and corporate governance standards
  • Support the wider team with a positive attitude and contribute to the effective functioning of the business
  • Carry out additional duties as requested to support operational needs

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Mortgage Advisor, Life Advisor, or in a similar role
  • Certificate in Finance Services (Cert CII), CeMap, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, and internal procedures
  • Demonstrated commitment to self-development and ongoing training
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with various database systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Capable of working independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all work
