Client Take-on Administrator

Our client is seeking a talented and quick learner or an experienced individual to join their Client Take-On team. This role involves assisting with all aspects of the client due diligence process. The position is full-time, with standard working hours. Click here to read more.

 

Job Duties

  • Prepare client and matter files, and open new matters through the onboarding software.
  • Check relevant databases to determine whether a potential client is existing or if there are any identified screening risks.
  • Conduct media searches, perform appropriate checks, and prepare internal and external documentation, including high-risk/PEP (Politically Exposed Person) applications where applicable.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Prioritise and track the receipt of CDD (Client Due Diligence) documentation, and obtain progress updates from clients or fee earners regularly.
  • Agree on the approach to obtaining additional information with the relevant fee earner.
  • Support junior staff in formulating CDD requests and understanding complex structures.
  • Coordinate with the Compliance team for guidance and advice.
  • Escalate any issues or risks to the fee earner, group partner, or Compliance team as appropriate.
  • Maintain an awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements in the relevant jurisdictions, particularly BVI and Cayman.


Job Requirements:

  • Educated to A-levels or equivalent standard.
  • Ideally, completed or pursuing a relevant ICA qualification.
  • Previous experience in a CDD or Client Take-On role is preferred.
  • Experience in a professional or financial services environment.
  • Good understanding of company, trust, and fund structures is desirable.
  • Exposure to compliance or legal environments is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge with a willingness to develop an understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) legislation.
  • Competent with systems and IT tools.
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
