Investment Oversight Officer

Our client seeks an Investment Oversight Officer to monitor, document and report on the investment performance of all investment portfolios and private company investments, adhering to relevant policies and procedures for the Fiduciary Business Units in Jersey and Mauritius. Job Duties:

  • Act as the principal contact for the third-party investment monitoring firm, such as Enhance.
  • Engage proactively with MDI (Melville Douglas International) and IFS (International Funds Solutions), maintaining an understanding of their investment strategies and performance.
  • Advise Trust Relationship Administrators regarding investment queries from Asset Managers, Wealth Managers, or Clients, noting this is a non-advisory role.
  • Maintain awareness of financial market conditions, attending weekly investment meetings and liaising regularly with WIN Treasury.
  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, particularly Trust Administrators and Wealth Managers.
  • Monitor and maintain the Nav system data for all non-real estate investments, ensuring accuracy for reporting purposes.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including those on investment performance, as required.
  • Provide investment oversight by reviewing investment strategies, financial statements, and adherence to policies and procedures for applicable Trusts and Companies.
  • Regularly monitor and document the performance of private company investments, including maintaining the PCS Register and performing periodic reviews.
  • Escalate any areas of concern to management.
  • Set up relevant meetings, complete and sign off documentation, and participate in the Investment Oversight Committee.
  • Responsible for quarterly monitoring and documenting the performance of managed investment portfolios, escalating any areas of concern to management.
  • Uphold a detailed understanding of relevant policies and procedures and ensure adherence.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • First Degree in Finance and Accounting.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably in international fiduciary services or investment services.
