Our client is seeking a Trainee Accountant to support their Central Finance department. This role focuses on accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. It involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and providing analytical support for decision-making. This is a full-time role. Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Assist with the oversight of data input by bookkeepers.
- Support the implementation of the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, document reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, including Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Where required, assist with the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the coordination of audits and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to provide financial expertise and support.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Working towards attaining a relevant professional qualification, such as ACCA, ICA, or an equivalent.
