Manager, Corporate Services

Our client, a leading global business, legal, and financial services company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Manager to join their award-winning Corporate Services team in Jersey. This permanent, full-time role offers a hybrid working arrangement and provides the opportunity to work with a diverse UK and global client base. The team handles complex assignments across sectors including Private Equity, Private Capital, Global Corporate Mandates, and bespoke arrangements such as joint venture vehicles. Job Duties:

  • Manage and mentor a corporate services team, acting as a role model and promoting effective delegation and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide technical support to team administrators and the wider business, becoming an expert in the services offered.
  • Take responsibility for an assigned portfolio of clients/cases, handling complex issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with team members and directors, assist with ad-hoc projects, and ensure delivery within agreed timeframes.
  • Review financial statements, legal, and technical documents, and ensure accurate client records.
  • Oversee the preparation of accounts in collaboration with the Accounting Services Team, liaising with external auditors as required.
  • Manage the financial affairs of the team, including budgeting, monitoring performance, and billing.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, maintaining up-to-date awareness of industry issues.
  • Participate in business development activities, contributing to the department’s growth strategy and client relationship management.
  • Promote a commercial mindset across teams, with a focus on delivering enhanced client service.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Manager in a regulated financial service environment.
  • Ideally CGI (formerly ICSA) or ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to foster relationships, motivate, and support colleagues.
  • Client-centric approach, with the ability to build rapport and trusted relationships quickly.
  • Experience in business development and a keen interest in contributing to the company’s growth.
  • Knowledge of local legislation and good corporate governance practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage change within a team and promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
