Our client is seeking an Associate Underwriter to join their expanding team. You will be supporting the underwriting team, driving the underwriting success of various global security threats including kidnap, ransom, illegal detention, and hijack. Job Duties:
- Deliver underwriting performance in line with the budget
- Develop and maintain relationships with distribution channels
- Underwrite, price, and negotiate accounts, mainly focusing on renewal business
- Continuously drive improvement within the Underwriting department
- Manage and analyse a portfolio of business to ensure profitability and meet production targets
- Participate in client and broker meetings to enhance class knowledge
- Support underwriting systems and build knowledge across Crisis Management lines
- Assist in producing management information reports for strategic underwriting decisions
- Maintain high service standards and work on other projects as assigned
