Assistant Manager, Corporate Actions

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Corporate Actions Team. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the team, overseeing task allocation and cultivating a motivated environment through effective leadership and coaching. This role requires expertise in corporate actions, with the responsibility to provide subject matter knowledge and support risk management initiatives throughout the event lifecycle. Job Duties:

  • Analyse and publish complex sub-custodian notifications/confirmations.
  • Reconcile and post entitlements from corporate actions to client accounts, ensuring adherence to currency deadlines for Treasury positioning.
  • Develop and enhance risk management controls and procedures throughout the corporate actions event lifecycle.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on complex corporate actions to support Supervisors and Administrators in their processing responsibilities.
  • Conduct monthly 1-1 meetings with Corporate Actions Team members to monitor performance and development.
  • Escalate financial or reputational risks to the Manager, supported by procedural evidence and market practices.
  • Provide impact and root cause analysis for any Operational Risk Events.
  • Investigate and resolve queries, ensuring all supporting documentation is maintained and queries are resolved within the prescribed time frames.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in corporate actions and a solid understanding of other operational areas within Securities Operations.
  • Technical knowledge of market practices in multiple regions, with the ability to train and support less experienced staff.
  • Relevant qualifications in Investment Operations administration (e.g., Investment Operations Certificate from CISI).
  • Experience in management duties, including performance management and process/procedure ownership and development.
