Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Corporate Actions Team. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the team, overseeing task allocation and cultivating a motivated environment through effective leadership and coaching. Job Duties:
- Analyse and publish complex sub-custodian notifications/confirmations.
- Reconcile and post entitlements from corporate actions to client accounts, ensuring adherence to currency deadlines for Treasury positioning.
- Develop and enhance risk management controls and procedures throughout the corporate actions event lifecycle.
- Provide subject matter expertise on complex corporate actions to support Supervisors and Administrators in their processing responsibilities.
- Conduct monthly 1-1 meetings with Corporate Actions Team members to monitor performance and development.
- Escalate financial or reputational risks to the Manager, supported by procedural evidence and market practices.
- Provide impact and root cause analysis for any Operational Risk Events.
- Investigate and resolve queries, ensuring all supporting documentation is maintained and queries are resolved within the prescribed time frames.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in corporate actions and a solid understanding of other operational areas within Securities Operations.
- Technical knowledge of market practices in multiple regions, with the ability to train and support less experienced staff.
- Relevant qualifications in Investment Operations administration (e.g., Investment Operations Certificate from CISI).
- Experience in management duties, including performance management and process/procedure ownership and development.
