Our client is seeking a Consultant to join the Guernsey Investor and Client Due Diligence team, supporting both internal and external clients. This senior-level role involves providing expert guidance and approval on compliance-related matters, particularly in relation to Anti-Money Laundering regulations and Guernsey’s regulatory requirements. Job Duties:
- Advise business partners and senior management on compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Assist in developing and implementing compliance programmes, policies, and procedures
- Identify and assess compliance risks, guiding management on risk minimisation strategies
- Interact with regulators, internal and external auditors on regulatory matters
- Serve as a subject matter expert for compliance and regulatory issues
- Mentor junior staff and review their work
- Act as Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Money Laundering Compliance Officer for Guernsey licensees
- Produce and present MLRO and MLCO reports to the licensee boards
- Handle Suspicious Activity Reports and liaise with regulatory bodies as required
Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, particularly in relation to AML and CDD
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Leadership abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Strong organisational and customer service skills
- ICA Diploma in Compliance/AML is desirable
