Our client is looking for a Trainee Accountant to join their Client Reporting team. Job Duties:
- Maintain high-quality and timely accounting records for companies and trusts.
- Apply the knowledge gained in the ACCA training courses to day-to-day work.
- Perform periodic reconciliation of internal accounting records to portfolio statements.
- Manage automated data feeds from third-party custodians.
- Prepare financial statements of companies and trusts in accordance with the appropriate accounting standards or relevant regulatory requirements, with guidance from Senior Trust Accountants.
- Support quarterly and annual investment monitoring processes.
- Liaise with external client stakeholders (advisors, bankers, lawyers, consultants) in close coordination with Client Services.
- Participate in various Client Reporting and Investment Monitoring improvement projects and initiatives, including automation, system development, and standardisation.
Job Requirements:
- A 2:1 degree (or higher) if you are a graduate, or 112 UCAS points (A-level or equivalent).
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting, as well as any relevant experience in private banking or the fiduciary industry, would be advantageous.
- Developed IT skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with an eye for detail.
- A team player with a can-do attitude, who is client-, service-, and solution-oriented.
- Fluency in English; other language skills are a plus.
