Our client, a leading financial services regulator, is seeking an Investigator to join their team. This role involves supporting investigations into firms and individuals who do not comply with the regulatory framework, helping to uphold Jersey’s reputation as a safe and well-regulated international financial centre. The successful candidate will work under the oversight of senior management, taking responsibility for managing and progressing cases, contributing to the development of regulatory processes, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Job Duties:
- Contribute to the development of case strategies, ensuring they are fair and proportionate.
- Manage the day-to-day progress and conclusion of cases and investigations.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, transparent communications with stakeholders.
- Provide information to support decision-making by senior management and the Board of Commissioners.
- Ensure timely collaboration and information sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to enhance legislation and regulatory procedures.
- Collaborate on publishing guidance and lessons learned to raise awareness and standards among regulated firms.
- Assist in creating and sharing educational materials with the public, promoting compliance and understanding of regulatory expectations.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in formal investigatory or regulatory processes, ideally within a compliance environment.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Strong judgement, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong collaboration skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
