Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to manage financial reporting, accounting, and regulatory compliance in the Channel Islands. This is a full-time role requiring oversight of financial processes, coordination with external auditors, and managing tax-related tasks. Job Duties:
- Produce timely financial accounting and liquidity reporting packages.
- Oversee the Madrid Finance Service Centre’s outsourced components, including first-level review of reports.
- Implement financial controls and internal accounting norms.
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly regulatory financial reports to JFSC/GFSC, ensuring compliance with guidance.
- Produce statutory financial statements for non-consolidated entities in line with accounting standards.
- Provide analysis of financial data to key stakeholders and respond to related queries.
- Offer advisory support on technical accounting matters and assist in the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Manage external audit processes and coordinate deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with tax advisors and ensure timely delivery of tax computations and returns.
- Develop and maintain month-end files, including analytical reviews across the balance sheet.
- Ensure accurate intercompany reporting and resolve mismatches.
- Act as an authorised signatory for validating payments proposed by the Accounts Payable team.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and assist with onboarding new team members.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Advanced user of Excel with strong accounting and IFRS knowledge.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting (JFSC/GFSC).
