Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst. This is a full-time role, where the successful candidate will report initially to the Head of Scheduled Revenue and Planning for the first nine months, transitioning to the Head of Finance. The primary focus of the role is to provide reporting, analysis, and insights to support key business priorities, delivering actionable information that drives informed decision-making. Job Duties:
- Utilising data visualisation techniques and tools to communicate key business metrics and findings to facilitate decision-making.
- Identifying business anomalies and patterns through curiosity-driven analysis to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
- Developing predictive models to drive insights, inform business strategies, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Evaluating key business drivers to measure the success of commercial, financial, and operational decisions, and applying science-based approaches to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborating with various business functions to communicate performance, drive initiatives, and provide clear business takeaways.
- Creating and delivering analysis reports to the executive management team.
- Monitoring the accuracy and completeness of reporting presented to the business.
- Developing and implementing reporting using various available platforms.
- Delivering statistical analysis on strategic and tactical issues to drive informed decision-making.
- Preparing analytics for business cases or projects on a case-by-case basis.
- Contributing to the generation of monthly performance reports and board reports.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in handling large data sets, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VBA) and experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python).
- Experience in data visualisation to present business performance insights using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Proven ability to use statistical modelling and data science techniques to inform business strategies and decisions.
- Experience working with modelling tools such as R or Python.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and work independently with minimal direction.
- Expertise in Excel and other database programs such as SQL, Access, Business Objects, Alteryx, or Tableau.
- A Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields is desirable.
- MBA or advanced degree with a focus on statistics, engineering, operations research, or quantitative disciplines is an advantage.
