Business Risk Control Onboarding Manager

Our client is seeking a Business Risk Control Onboarding Manager to lead a Business Risk Management Team, providing first-line risk-related advice and assurance to business units and corporate functions across their offshore operations. This full-time role is based in the Isle of Man, Jersey, London, Mauritius, or South Africa and involves overseeing the implementation of risk frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and standards, fostering a culture of quality, control, and transparent risk ownership. Job Duties:

• Drive the implementation of quality control mechanisms to ensure alignment with policies, processes, and procedures
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Business Risk Management frameworks
• Ensure risk management practices are robust and meet regulatory requirements across the offshore environment
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and accountability for control breaches and remedial actions
• Engage regularly with key clients to manage expectations and clarify requirements
• Lead and manage the Business Risk Management team, retaining critical staff and fostering a high-performance culture

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Business, Commerce, or Risk Management
• 8-10 years of experience in Operational Risk Management within financial services, with a focus on managing controls, testing, and oversight of key risks
• Proven experience in team management and stakeholder engagement
• Technical competencies in internal control evaluation, process governance, quality control, risk identification, risk management, risk reporting, and risk response strategy
