Client Accounting Manager

Our client seeks an experienced Client Accounting Manager to lead and manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers. This full-time, permanent role requires the oversight of the accounting function workflow to ensure accurate, timely delivery of financial statements while maximising profitability. Job Duties: 

  • Oversee all client expectations and accounting deadlines, coordinating with Trust Administration Teams to clear queries and finalise financial statements
  • Manage workflow and prioritise tasks across the accounting function to maintain operational efficiency
  • Take ownership of workload, liaising with clients, auditors, and third parties in a professional manner
  • Review and improve charging structures and fee setups to increase profitability, ensuring timely billing of fees
  • Support the Head of Accounting in driving efficiency, implementing change initiatives, and managing special projects as needed
  • Prepare and review complex financial statements aligned with statutory requirements and UK GAAP standards
  • Generate and maintain accurate management information, meeting KPIs and risk targets
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure professional growth and CPD adherence


Job Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant accounting experience in a fiduciary services environment, with demonstrated people management experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/FRS102) and an understanding of statutory requirements
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, including delivering presentations at Board level
  • Capability to use initiative and judgement in standard work practices and problem-solving
  • Flexibility and professionalism under time-driven pressures, with excellent prioritisation and time management skills
  • Strong command of English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
