Our client is seeking a full-time, permanent Head of Risk and Compliance to join their dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Boards of Directors, you will play a key role in safeguarding the organisation's integrity by overseeing compliance, developing policies, and managing risk across the group’s various entities. Job Duties:
- Oversee and manage all compliance activities, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive risk management policies and procedures.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies across business operations.
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and industry changes, ensuring updates are reflected in policies and procedures.
- Lead the compliance team, providing training and guidance on regulatory matters.
- Act as the Group’s Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO), unless otherwise designated.
- Liaise with senior stakeholders, providing clear communication on compliance updates and risk assessments.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to the Boards of Directors.
- Maintain effective documentation and reporting systems for compliance activities.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior compliance role, ideally within the legal or Trust and Corporate Service Provider (TCSP) sectors.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, including data protection laws.
- Experience in risk assessment and developing mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a compliance team.
- Relevant professional qualifications in compliance or risk management are desirable.
