Our client, a leading organisation within finance and technology, is seeking a Contract Accountant for an initial 6-month contract based in the Isle of Man, Jersey, or Guernsey. This role involves supporting Finance and Accounting functions, as well as other finance-related and project-based activities, within an acquired company. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning accounting processes and policies with group standards, managing day-to-day project activities, and providing specialised financial insight for integration and post-completion accounting support. Job Duties:
- Support Finance and Accounting activities for an acquired company
- Oversee integration activities, including asset valuation, debtor strategy, and alignment of financial assets with group policies
- Conduct valuation and transfer of accounting balances for consolidated reporting
- Assist with tax work and post-completion accounts support
- Liaise with external consultants, including auditors, tax advisors, and PPA consultants
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, data protection, health and safety, and information security standards
- Provide various project-based support and align treatments with senior finance leaders
Job Requirements:
- A professional accounting qualification and membership in a recognised accounting body, or working towards one, with significant accounting or audit experience
- Proficiency in systems, IT, and Excel
- Strong project and time management skills; self-motivated and well-organised
- Team player with the ability to work effectively within a group
- Skilled in analysing and presenting financial information to non-financial audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desirable: Experience in telecoms or technology sector, acquisition accounting, and exposure to various accounting systems
