Job Duties:
- Advise on and interpret regulatory requirements, providing guidance to management and staff.
- Analyse and monitor local regulatory texts, including AML/CFT/CPF Handbooks and Codes of Practice.
- Build and maintain open relationships with financial services regulators, supporting inspections and reporting matters.
- Oversee and implement recommendations from internal audits, inspections, or regulatory findings.
- Provide advice on AML, sanctions, and due diligence, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Offer guidance on professional ethics, conflicts of interest, and client complaints.
- Evaluate and mitigate compliance risks in new activities, products, and transactions.
- Develop and execute a compliance monitoring plan, reporting findings and ensuring corrective actions.
- Maintain registers of compliance breaches, incidents, and complaints, ensuring effective resolution.
- Support training programmes to promote compliance awareness across the organisation.
- Prepare compliance risk reports for boards and committees, supporting governance frameworks.
Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Channel Islands regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in financial services compliance or a related field.
- Relevant qualifications in compliance, risk, governance, accountancy, or law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently.
- Proficiency in common computer applications and data management.
