Customer Service Representative

Our client is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their dynamic team in Guernsey. This full-time role involves delivering high-quality customer support to internal and external clients while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. Job Duties:

  • Welcome, assist, and direct visitors professionally while adhering to security policies.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and escalate concerns where appropriate.
  • Provide information about products and services via post, email, or telephone.
  • Operate telecommunications and ticketing systems effectively.
  • Process mid-term adjustments and cancellations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage broker diaries and follow up on payments or outstanding documentation.
  • Issue copy policies, proof of no-claims bonuses, and perform ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Take customer payments when required.
  • Suggest additional products to attract potential customers.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge of products to meet client and regulatory standards.
  • Suggest process improvements for the Customer Support function.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to maximise performance.
  • Contribute to short-term projects as directed by the Team Leader.

 

Job Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C or above).
  • Experience in a customer-focused service role.
  • Strong customer care and interpersonal skills.
  • Conflict management abilities to ensure smooth customer experiences.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic office equipment and software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to learn about insurance products and services.
  • Commitment to training and pursuing professional insurance qualifications.
