Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Trust Manager to manage a portfolio of private wealth relationships while supporting the Trust Manager in the efficient management of the team. This full-time role involves overseeing service delivery, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also requires assisting with business development, risk management, and client relationship management while driving operational excellence.
Job Duties:
- Manage and maintain client relationships in line with KPIs and service standards.
- Oversee and prioritise workloads for the administration team, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Provide technical and managerial support to junior staff, resolving complex client issues as needed.
- Liaise with internal departments regarding accounting, taxation, and operational matters.
- Review company and trust accounts and other financial reports.
- Attend meetings with clients and intermediaries to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop the client base by understanding their needs and seeking cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements in all fiduciary activities.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, safeguarding the client’s and organisation’s assets.
- Address client complaints promptly and appropriately, escalating where necessary.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and alignment with organisational values.
- Assist with setting and achieving team performance objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support the training, development, and appraisal of team members.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, legislation, and best practices through continuous professional development.
Job Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge and proven experience in offshore fiduciary services.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex fiduciary issues and manage client relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial markets, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining industry knowledge.
