Relationship Manager

Our client is seeking a Relationship Manager to join their Financial Intermediary Team. This role is focused on developing and enhancing relationships within the Trust and Corporate Service Provider market while ensuring effective risk management of the client portfolio. The successful candidate will contribute to business growth by selectively developing new opportunities and strengthening existing relationships.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement client contact strategies to achieve personal and team objectives.
  • Manage and enhance relationships with Guernsey financial intermediaries.
  • Deliver exceptional client service while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to business targets by identifying opportunities in lending, deposits, foreign exchange, custody, and wealth management.
  • Ensure deposit mix and tenures align with liquidity requirements.
  • Identify and refer business opportunities to other areas of the organisation.
  • Assess financial performance and address any shortcomings to meet objectives.
  • Work closely with risk, compliance, and new business teams to ensure AML/CFT procedures are followed.
  • Support and participate in client entertainment programmes.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships.
  • Experience in sales, business development, and relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of treasury, capital markets, and lending.
  • Knowledge of investment markets, including bonds, equities, and structured solutions.
  • Exposure to regulatory risk management within financial institutions.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of banking products, account opening processes, and service delivery.
