Our client is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join their Isle of Man office on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), ensuring the organisation operates within local regulatory frameworks and mitigating financial crime, reputational, and operational risks. This is a key role requiring strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements across the business.
Job Duties:
- Implement and maintain the CMP, ensuring timely completion and no backlogs
- Accurately log and monitor findings through to resolution
- Recommend corrective actions including training needs, changes to monitoring frequency, and system enhancements
- Record and escalate significant compliance findings to the Head of Compliance
- Assist with departmental workload including regulatory returns and compliance registers
- Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance reports for the Board and Group
- Ensure consistency and effectiveness of testing criteria in line with systems and controls updates
- Provide management information to support Board reporting
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and interpret requirements for business units
- Promote and strengthen a culture of compliance across the business through clear communication and support
- Provide visible support for local and group-wide strategy and uphold the organisation’s values and behaviours
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in developing and implementing a Compliance Monitoring Plan
- Strong knowledge of Isle of Man regulatory frameworks and international standards
- Experience in the TCSP sector (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to adapt to evolving regulations and implement effective practices
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven ability to write clear, concise reports and communicate findings constructively
- Ability to build relationships across various departments and levels
- High level of self-motivation and discipline
