Our client is seeking a Finance Business Partner to support the Finance Operations Manager in delivering the financial aspects of the organisation’s strategic objectives. This role will provide financial, commercial, and advisory support, focusing on external market trends, business performance analysis, and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance financial planning, risk assessment, and cost management while ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
Job Duties:
- Partner with business units to support the delivery of strategic objectives.
- Provide input into the Corporate Plan and Quarterly Forecasts, collaborating with the Balance Sheet Risk Team.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring performance aligns with business goals.
- Support the formulation of financial plans, including stress scenario analysis.
- Liaise with the Financial Reporting team to provide performance insights to the Executive Committee and Board.
- Drive data-led decision-making by optimising financial and business insights.
- Assess and validate key assumptions for financial planning and forecasting.
- Lead profitability analyses to maximise business value, focusing on customer growth and retention.
- Provide financial risk assessment and strategic cost management support.
- Act as a key liaison between Finance and other business units.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, reporting findings to the Board.
- Maintain and develop financial knowledge within the team to uphold regulatory and customer fairness standards.
Job Requirements:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Professional accountancy qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance or commercial role.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior finance business partnering role.
- Strong ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial data, presenting insights clearly and effectively.
