Senior Consultant, Financial Reporting

Our client is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their Financial Reporting team, responsible for preparing annual statutory accounts and interim reports for fund and fiduciary clients. This role requires expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS reporting, particularly for closed-ended London-listed investment funds. The successful candidate will oversee financial statement preparation, audit processes, and corporate governance disclosures while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Acting as a subject matter expert in financial reporting for London-listed funds.
  • Reviewing financial statements, quarterly budgets, and dividend calculations.
  • Presenting accounts at board and client meetings.
  • Managing the audit process, resolving queries, and liaising with audit partners.
  • Serving as the key point of contact for non-executive directors and drafting corporate governance disclosures.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and tax reporting requirements.
  • Overseeing accounting processes to maintain quality and compliance with internal policies.
  • Leading and mentoring staff in resolving complex financial reporting issues.
  • Keeping up to date with industry and regulatory developments.
  • Managing team performance, training, and recruitment.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and reporting quality.

Job Requirements:

  • Accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of offshore fund administration, particularly closed-ended London-listed investment funds.
  • Proven supervisory experience within fund administration, asset management, securities operations, or audit.
  • Extensive experience in financial statement preparation and corporate governance reporting.
  • Familiarity with Guernsey's regulatory framework related to fund accounting and financial reporting.
  • Experience in client presentations and business development activities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions collaboratively.
