Our client is seeking an experienced Asset Services Manager to oversee all aspects of asset servicing, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of stock transfers, corporate actions, dividends, and asset database management. This role requires a strong understanding of investment operations, financial markets, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service while managing and developing a team.
Job Duties:
- Lead a culture of customer service excellence for clients, companies, and third parties.
- Manage team workloads, ensuring maximum productivity and smooth operations.
- Implement and oversee cross-training initiatives within the team.
- Oversee the processing of stock transfers, ensuring timely and accurate settlements.
- Liaise with custodians, counterparties, and internal teams to resolve transfer-related queries.
- Ensure accurate and efficient setup of new assets and securities on internal systems, maintaining data integrity.
- Manage corporate actions, including mergers, rights issues, stock splits, and tender offers.
- Oversee the timely and accurate processing of dividend payments and income distributions.
- Collate management information and conduct quality assurance control checks.
- Participate in team and company projects, providing cover for team tasks where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage departmental risk, identifying and reporting issues in line with policy and procedures.
- Prioritise workloads to meet customer and regulatory deadlines.
- Utilise internal systems to monitor and enhance team performance, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, working collaboratively across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Motivate and support team members to perform at their best.
- Ensure adherence to AML procedures and guidelines.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required by management.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role within financial services.
- Experience working with global custodians and brokers.
- Formal management training or qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, with experience in I-DCRM, Jira, and Lucid Charts being advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly when dealing with complex matters.
- Ability to think creatively and flexibly to solve problems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
- Ability to remain focused on tasks and deliver results.
- Strong data analysis skills to identify issues and propose solutions.
