Our client is seeking a Group FATCA/CRS Manager to lead the organisation’s compliance with Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) regulations across multiple jurisdictions. This role will oversee regulatory obligations under FATCA and CRS, ensuring that the organisation adapts effectively to evolving legislation, including the Amendments to CRS and the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF). The successful candidate will drive strategic and policy change, liaise with regulators, and provide expert guidance to internal teams.
Job Duties:
- Lead strategic and policy changes to ensure ongoing compliance with AEOI regulations.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all jurisdictions concerning CRS amendments and CARF.
- Manage AEOI aspects of group projects, including takeovers, remediation of historic reporting, and regulatory liaison.
- Advise on AEOI documentation, including self-certifications and FATCA-specific forms (W-8BEN-E, W-8BEN, W-9, W-8IMY).
- Maintain Group FATCA GIINs, overseeing periodic certifications and regulatory filings.
- Support trust, company, and pension teams in addressing client and banking partner classification queries.
- Assess reporting scope and revenue opportunities, producing statistical data for senior management.
- Develop and deliver AEOI training programmes tailored to jurisdictional nuances.
- Assist Reporting Officers in resolving complex issues, including XML schema errors and regulatory enquiries.
- Monitor regulatory developments across relevant jurisdictions and engage in industry working groups.
- Collaborate with IT teams to enhance AEOI reporting processes.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in classifying client entities and filing FATCA/CRS returns in a multi-jurisdictional fiduciary setting, with Model 2 FATCA reporting experience advantageous.
- Strong understanding of AEOI regulations, including jurisdictional nuances in interpretation and application.
- Proficiency in handling large datasets, including CSV, Excel, and XML formats.
- Prior experience in remediating FATCA/CRS reporting issues and liaising with regulators.
- Ability to draft and review FATCA/CRS documentation, including self-certifications and W-8/W-9 forms.
- Experience in designing and delivering AEOI training programmes.
- Knowledge of data protection laws related to AEOI data exchange.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory information effectively.
- High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence change.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks under tight deadlines.
