Manager, Finance Business Partnering

Our client is seeking a Finance Business Partner Manager to join their team in Jersey. This role will be the first point of contact for finance and business decision support, working closely with stakeholders to drive financial performance, reporting, and innovation. The successful candidate will have strong analytical, commercial, and technical skills, as well as an interest in finance technology. Occasional travel to Guernsey and the UK will be required.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality management information (MI) and finance technology solutions, ensuring continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and finance technology tools to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
  • Meet regularly with UK stakeholders to discuss reporting improvements, automation, and self-service adoption.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, providing insight and commentary to leadership.
  • Monitor financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas requiring management action.
  • Drive financial improvements through pricing strategies, efficiency initiatives, resource allocation, and cost management.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Support the leadership team with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Promote a culture of financial discipline and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the Finance Digital & Innovation agenda within the finance team and across the organisation.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with a recognised accounting body.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Commercial mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in applying accounting standards.
  • Experience in driving process efficiency and technology-driven change.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and people management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Power BI experience (desirable).
  • Project management skills (desirable).
