PSV Engineer

Our client is seeking a qualified PSV or HGV mechanic to join their Guernsey depot as an Engineer. This role involves assisting in the maintenance and repair of a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently across the island network. The successful candidate will work within a skilled engineering team, carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance to the highest standards.

Job Duties:

• Carrying out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Ensuring all vehicles meet safety and reliability standards.
• Following scheduled maintenance plans and responding to defects efficiently.
• Performing inspections and diagnosing faults to prevent service disruptions.
• Carrying out major component changes when required.
• Maintaining accurate records of all completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to maintain a professional workshop environment.

Job Requirements:

• Qualification as a PSV or HGV mechanic.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Valid driving licence (PCV licence desirable).
