Engineering Supervisor

Our client is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team at their Guernsey depot. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operation of the workshop, ensuring all maintenance and repair tasks are completed to the highest standard. This role involves supervising engineers, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring vehicle availability to meet operational requirements. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the role includes hands-on maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs as needed.

Job Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate the engineering team, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed efficiently.
• Oversee the daily operation of the workshop, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure strong communication and operational efficiency.
• Delegate tasks to the vehicle presentation team and allocate specific jobs to team members.
• Work closely with the operational team to ensure the fleet is available for daily service requirements.
• Carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and vehicle repairs as required.
• Motivate and support staff to maintain high standards of maintenance and vehicle presentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Job Requirements:

• Appropriate professional engineering qualification.
• Valid driving licence.
• PCV licence (desirable).
• Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Enthusiasm and motivation to drive high standards within the team.
