Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Finance Business Analyst in extracting, analysing, and reporting data across various teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making. This role involves working with multiple systems, ensuring data integrity, and developing reports and dashboards for management and board-level insights.
Job Duties:
- Source, extract, and clean data from D365 and other internal systems.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, summarise key insights, and create reports for internal teams and clients.
- Design and set up databases to store and manage data for efficient extraction and interrogation.
- Manipulate and analyse data using Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Collate data to produce reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management and the Board, including recommendations.
- Identify data gaps and recommend tools or solutions to improve data completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct market research on comparable suppliers and products to assess market share and competitiveness.
- Assist in sourcing key data and metrics for forecasting and budgeting based on historical trends.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across reporting systems.
- Collaborate with the IT team to improve data infrastructure and platforms.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and basic formulas.
- Familiarity with SQL or a willingness to learn.
- Understanding of data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a data analytics role within a commercial setting.
- Strong academic background in a relevant field.
- Investigative and diagnostic mindset with a passion for data excellence.
- Ability to work under pressure with good organisational and time management skills.
