Our client is seeking a Legal Administrator to provide professional and client-focused administrative support to partners and senior lawyers within the Dispute Resolution and Litigation department. This role involves a range of administrative, organisational, and client service responsibilities, ensuring the efficient operation of the department.
Job Duties:
- Act as the first point of contact, handling correspondence and phone calls.
- Manage diaries and inboxes, scheduling meetings and appointments.
- Organise and coordinate internal and external events and engagements.
- Arrange travel, transport, and accommodation bookings.
- Maintain databases and filing systems, ensuring document control and records management.
- Retrieve and manage information to support legal decision-making.
- Implement and maintain administrative procedures and systems.
- Undertake typing, transcribing, and other word processing tasks.
- Assist in legal case management, transaction management, and document preparation.
- Support business development activities, including client meetings and small events.
- Maintain client contact lists and assist with marketing and business development activities.
- Update and manage social media profiles for partners and senior lawyers.
- Assist with financial and matter management tasks, including billing and reporting.
- Undertake project work and ad-hoc duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or personal assistant with familiarity in legal documentation and terminology.
- Minimum GCSE-level education (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word.
- Strong typing skills with accuracy and speed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to act as a first point of contact.
- High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to work.
