Our client is seeking a Senior Trust Officer to provide high-quality service to a multi-billion dollar book of fiduciary clients within the Global Family Office Team. This role involves managing a portfolio of trust, company, foundation, PTC, and PCC structures for some of the wealthiest families globally. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners, external advisors, and clients to deliver bespoke fiduciary services, ensuring the highest standards of risk management, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.
Job Duties:
- Manage a mixed portfolio of company and trust structures, working with internal partners, advisors, and managers to provide exceptional client service.
- Develop and apply fiduciary knowledge and judgement to support client needs while balancing fiduciary risk management.
- Prepare and execute minutes, resolutions, and necessary documentation and payments.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager and Relationship Manager to handle day-to-day client activities.
- Review financial statements in relation to fiduciary responsibilities.
- Act as a point of contact for clients regarding fiduciary entities, planning and attending client and advisor meetings.
- Serve as an authorised signatory for required documentation.
- Ensure that client structures comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring all decision-making processes and client filings are in compliance with regulations.
- Adhere to internal policies and processes, applying prudent risk management and fiduciary judgment.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement within the fiduciary team and collaborate with internal partners to drive growth.
- Liaise with other fiduciary teams to ensure consistency of service.
- Serve as the point of contact for service-related issues and maintain appropriate documentation for each client relationship.
Job Requirements:
- Continued development of fiduciary best practices and knowledge.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and changes for both Guernsey and other relevant jurisdictions.
- A highly professional approach to work and client interactions, with a focus on confidentiality and privacy.
- STEP or ICSA qualification (preferable).
- Direct experience in interacting with demanding clients or prospects and fulfilling their needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, numeracy, and computer literacy.
- A proactive, initiative-taking attitude with excellent time management skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands.
