Trainee Financial Planner

Our client is seeking a Trainee Financial Planner to join their team on a full-time basis. This opportunity is based within the administration function, where you will support a team of Financial Planners while developing the knowledge and experience necessary to progress into a qualified advisory role. Over a structured four-year career pathway, you will work towards Chartered Financial Planner status, beginning with the Diploma in Financial Planning. The role offers a blend of hands-on experience, client exposure, administrative support, and professional study.

Job Duties:

  • Undertake a structured training programme to become a Chartered Financial Planner, starting with a two-year Diploma in Financial Planning through the Personal Finance Society.
  • Shadow Financial Planners in client meetings, contributing to meeting preparation and follow-up tasks.
  • Assist Financial Planners and senior administrators with a range of administrative duties to ensure efficient business operations.
  • Provide occasional cover for the administration team when required.
  • Support marketing campaigns, including updating the company website and social media channels.
  • Work alongside the Head of Financial Planning on business development and marketing activities.

Job Requirements:

  • GCSEs in Maths and English.
  • A Levels or equivalent qualification; a university degree is desirable but not essential.
  • An interest in personal finance concepts; any experience in financial services would be advantageous but is not required.
  • Friendly and personable with strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative environment.
