Our client is seeking a Senior Compliance Administrator to join their Jersey-based Family Office Services business on a full-time, permanent basis. This role sits within the Risk & Compliance team and focuses on supporting and enhancing a strong compliance framework across the organisation. The position involves undertaking compliance monitoring tasks, maintaining key registers, and ensuring regulatory adherence through accurate and timely reporting and administration.
Job Duties:
- Carry out tasks under the Compliance Monitoring Programme, including quarterly AMLSP checklist reviews and thematic testing.
- Maintain accurate internal records, including breaches, errors, and compliance declarations.
- Monitor industry developments and identify improvement opportunities in procedures and practices.
- Compile compliance statistics for internal reporting to the Risk Committee and Boards.
- Liaise with administration teams to address issues identified through compliance checks.
- Provide updates and recommendations following analysis of monitoring outcomes and register trends.
- Review screening results for high-risk payments, sanctions, and court list checks.
- Coordinate and track mandatory training programme completion across the business.
- Maintain the correspondence log and country risk ratings.
- Support with internal training, guidance presentations, and ad-hoc compliance reviews.
- Monitor and manage the Compliance mailbox, ensuring queries are assigned and addressed promptly.
- Assist with business-wide projects and contribute beyond core responsibilities when required.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of four years’ experience in compliance, risk, or trust administration.
- Previous experience in compliance monitoring is desirable.
- Good understanding of Jersey’s finance industry and regulatory environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Confident working independently and taking initiative.
- A good academic background.
- Studying towards, or willing to study towards, a relevant compliance qualification (e.g., ICA).
