Temporary Retail Sales Consultant - Until 17th February 2026

Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Consultant to join their team on a full or part-time, temporary basis. Working 15 - 37.5 hours per week between 9:00am and 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday (with one weekday off), the role is based at Waterloo House in Guernsey. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, has a passion for technology, and can provide professional support and advice across a wide range of mobile and residential products and services.

Job Duties:

  • Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable sales support to all customers.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring needs are met and clearly explained.
  • Assist customers in understanding and selecting the best mobile and residential services.
  • Demonstrate products and ensure all services are set up and functioning as expected.
  • Use computerised systems confidently to process sales and resolve queries.
  • Maintain clear, honest communication with customers across face-to-face, telephone, and email channels.
  • Work towards personal and team sales targets while maintaining a strong service focus.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new team members.
  • Attend training sessions to stay up to date on products and processes.
  • Provide support during seasonal trading periods, including selected Thursdays and Sundays from November 1st to December 31st.
  • Adhere to all legal, regulatory, data protection, and health and safety policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in retail or sales roles.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and calm.
  • Interest in new technology and enthusiasm to learn.
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Smart personal presentation and a positive, team-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern retail systems (highly desirable).
  • Understanding of mobile products and services (highly desirable).
  • Satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure required due to the security aspects of the role.
