Our client is seeking a Senior Officer to join their Funds & Institutional division on a full-time, permanent basis based in Jersey. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to administer a diverse range of fund structures while supporting both internal stakeholders and a varied international client base. You will deliver high-quality administration services, supervise junior staff, and ensure that operational standards and client expectations are consistently exceeded. Occasional travel to client or other office locations may be required.
Job Duties:
- Perform a wide variety of fund administration tasks accurately and within agreed timelines
- Provide quality service to clients and ensure timely delivery of financial administration services
- Support senior management with day-to-day client administration across fund portfolios
- Attend and minute client meetings and act as a point of contact in the absence of managers
- Deputise for the Assistant Manager or Manager when required
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and technical support
- Collaborate across teams to foster a constructive client servicing culture
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of payments, resolutions, minutes, and checklists
- Maintain appropriate records and prepare documentation for signing meetings
- Monitor and clear assigned workflow tasks and client bank accounts
- Support internal projects and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Proactively identify training needs and support team development
- Ensure all tasks comply with regulatory, policy and risk management requirements
- Act as a duly authorised signatory in line with delegated authority
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients and intermediaries to support retention and growth
- Assist in business development through awareness of market conditions and service offerings
Job Requirements:
- ICSA qualification or relevant professional qualification
- Member of a relevant Professional Institute
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fund administration
- In-depth knowledge of Jersey’s finance industry, especially in relation to fund services
- Solid understanding of relevant laws and best practice for fund administration
- Awareness of fund structures and taxation principles in Jersey and related jurisdictions
- Ability to supervise and support junior staff and review their work
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities within existing client relationships
- Organised, resilient, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle complex internal and external dynamics
