Retail Sales Consultant

Our client is seeking a Retail Sales Consultant to join their team on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week between 9am and 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday (with one weekday off). Based in Jersey, this position will be customer-facing within a retail environment and is focused on delivering exceptional service while promoting mobile and residential products. The successful candidate will be driven by customer satisfaction, capable of meeting sales targets, and committed to upholding the company’s values.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver a professional, efficient sales service to all customers, ensuring a welcoming and helpful environment
  • Greet customers warmly and strive to meet or exceed expectations with every interaction
  • Offer honest, clear, and complete information to support customer decision-making
  • Ensure all customers leave with working products or a clear understanding of service timelines
  • Demonstrate and sell mobile and residential products and services confidently
  • Be fully trained in and proficient with sales and support systems
  • Provide support through face-to-face, email, and telephone communications, resolving queries promptly
  • Contribute to the training of new retail team members as needed
  • Participate in any required training or briefings
  • Understand and support the commercial goals of the retail department
  • Work towards personal and team sales targets
  • Assist with seasonal shifts, including selected Thursdays and Sundays from November to December
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory, data protection, and health and safety policies
  • Maintain security awareness and complete all required training
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure due to the trust and security aspects of the role

Job Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience and a passion for customer service
  • Ability to deal effectively with difficult situations and a diverse range of customers
  • Keen interest in new and emerging technologies
  • Strong communication skills and excellent personal presentation
  • Accuracy and high-quality work standards
  • Ability to represent the company professionally and uphold brand values
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern retail technologies
  • Understanding of mobile technology
  • Demonstrated interest in future technology trends
