Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Finance team on a permanent, hybrid-working basis. This role sits within the Group division and offers the opportunity to contribute to key internal projects aimed at enhancing the quality and timeliness of deliverables, strengthening internal controls, and mitigating risk. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure finance processes and documentation meet the highest standards.
Job Duties:
- Support the development and maintenance of a strong internal control environment
- Assist in the delivery and facilitation of training sessions for finance team members
- Oversee the documentation and publication of departmental policies and procedures
- Contribute to the delivery of various ad-hoc finance projects
- Assist in defining project scope and objectives, engaging relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate internal resources and external experts where necessary
- Perform risk management activities to reduce project and operational risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet CPD requirements in line with professional qualifications and internal procedures
- Uphold the organisation’s core values and behaviours
- Carry out additional duties as required by management
Job Requirements:
- Newly qualified or working towards a recognised professional accountancy qualification
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- High attention to detail and strong accuracy standards
