Senior Manager, Global Accounting

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to join their growing global accounting team as a Senior Manager. This is a full-time position that can be based in Guernsey, Jersey, or the UK. The successful candidate will take the lead on the delivery of accurate financial reporting across a varied client portfolio while supporting and mentoring a team of accounting professionals.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the daily activities of reporting staff, ensuring work is effectively planned and allocated to meet client deadlines
  • Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including complex accounting transactions
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual financial reports
  • Maintain accurate accounting records in client databases, including Viewpoint, Yardi, and QuickBooks
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of all transactions being processed, escalating to line management when necessary
  • Manage client expectations and ensure all accounting deadlines are met
  • Oversee the audit process for selected clients, ensuring compliance with agreed timelines
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers
  • Collaborate with client administration teams and global colleagues, providing accounting support and advice
  • Ensure a consistent level of service across all clients and promptly address any issues
  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures at all times
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the integration of governance services across jurisdictions and support consistent operations

Job Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with practical experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous
  • Familiarity with accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint, Yardi, and QuickBooks, is desirable
  • Ability to manage and prioritise tasks independently, with strong organisational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail
