Our client is seeking a temporary Bookkeeper to support their finance function with responsibilities including bookkeeping, transaction processing, and preparation of financial statements. The position is full time and requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and liaise with external suppliers.
Job Duties:
- Process day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting processes
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth financial operations
- Support the year-end audit process with required documentation
- Maintain and organise financial files and documentation
- Contribute to improvements in accounting procedures and controls
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping or finance role
- Familiarity with Sage accounting software is desirable, though training can be provided
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
